Annotation | The goal of this thesis is to find out how and why full-time students combine study and work. The theoretical part brings together resources related to the problem - especially characteristic of university study, its development and the ways in which students can work while studying. Part is devoted to motivation to study and incentives to work while studying. The methodological part of thesis focuses on clarifying the strategy of combined research. In the empirical part are interpreted the results of qualitative and quantitative research. Students spend more time studying at home instead of visiting every lesson at university. Their time is dedicated to work activities - paid work activities (around 16 hours per week) and unpaid work activities (up to 8 hours per week). It was recorded varying intensity of the work activities during the teaching period, during tests or summer holidays. The strongest motives for combining study and work includes salary, work experiences and self-realization. |
