Annotation The thesis consists of two parts, theoretical and practical. The goal of the theoretical part is to define basic terms regarding assessment, specify the subjects of school assessment including their relationship, express the relevance of assessment in schooling, functions, risks of school assessment and to describe grading and school assessment including their strengths and weaknesses. The chosen topic will be dealt with on theoretical level by the means of comparison, analysis and synthesis of professional sources. The practical part will carry out research investigation. The goal of the practical part is to discover the attitudes and opinions of vocational teachers, teachers of practical training and special subjects at secondary vocational schools in the area of Uherské Hradiště. To solve the given issue, a questionnaire investigation will be used. r. The results will be presented in charts and graphs, there will be a discussion about the results. On the basis of the results will be proposed a recommendation for educational practice and a conclusion will be expressed.
