Annotation |
The presented bachelor thesis deals with the position of a Roma child within the family, as well as with his or her health. The theoretical part deals with explaining the basic Roma meanings – the term of ´Romipen´, ´Roma´, ´social exclusion´, ´Roma etnolect in Czech language´. Further, the theoretical part deals with Roma history, which is divided into six subchapters. The first one deals with Roma migration into Europe, the second one introduces the entrance of Roma people into the Czech lands and Slovakia. The third chapter relates to the period of the First Czechoslovak Republic. The fourth one deals with Roma Holocaust between 1939 - 1945. The fifth part deals with the Roma from 1945 to 1989, and the sixth part describes the development in this area after 1989. The theoretical part continues with summarizing the concepts of health, eating and illness in Roma people. The aim of this thesis was to describe health and social situation of a Roma child in a Roma family. The research file was made of five families and the criterion for this file was the age of children - 5 to 18 year olds. The results of this research have brought a set of information on the integration of a Roma child within school environment and his or her social inclusion, and information on his or her health. |
