The influence of media on children: internet and television

Annotation This bechalor thesis tries to find out to what extent does the TV and the internet affect in particular the psychic development of children and youth, optionally on other aspects of their lives. We found out that the TV and the internet affect psychic cognitive development of children and establishment of relationships of teenagers in a positive and significantly negative way. However it cannot be stated, that that the media would have an impact on certain aspects of the life of each individual. Specific negative impact always depends on many other variables. The media and especially the internet and TV are part of our everyday routine. The determine to a large extent our current image of the world. Due to children and youth being a substantial part of the TV audience and internet users it can be assumed that these media affect this part of population.
