Annotation | Eurobarometer 1998-2000 is a comparative research about ideas, attitudes and opinions of Czech youth about the EU. The Children and Youth Institute of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport carried out the research in the Czech Republic in 1998. The questionnaire was prepared on the base of English questionnaire used in Eurobarometer 47.2 survey. Research was done on representative sample of 805 young people at he age of 15-24 years. Research results might be also used for a preparation of materials for conception of state social policy towards young people and for a preparation of underlying materials for the EU bodies. Questionnaires focused on what the EU means and what is its social profitability, what is an opinion of today´s young people on the Euro currency and how they concieve European citizenship. Questions also focused on awareness of Czechs about socio-political processes in the EU, their work and travel experience, work expectations and attitudes to minorities, education and leisure time activities. |
