Teaching of financial literacy at primary schools

Annotation This thesis deals with the importance of financial literacy in the market economy and its inclusion in basic education. Furthermore, filed a broader view of economic decisions with regard not only to economic criteria, but also on ethical and ecological aspects. Currently, according to her findings education students in the economic sphere, the teacher assessment grades 3 or worse, demonstrating the undeniable importance of introducing financial education at the elementary school. The first chapter discusses the importance of financial literacy in the market economy and includes specific definition of financial literacy. In the next part covers gradual steps towards the realization of teaching financial literacy in primary schools. Analysis of the survey results also identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats for implementing financial education at the elementary school. Recommendations on teaching methods, teaching materials and other proposals to teach financial literacy is another part of this thesis.
