Annotation	Bachelor thesis examines how the media have influence on preschool children, both negative and positive. The theoretical part of the work has three chapters. The first is generally characterized by the media, their meaning, function and impact on individuals and society. The second chapter is devoted to progressive mental development of the individual, the development of the child's personality, vision, speech, motor skills, emotions and socialization of children from the prenatal period to preschool. The third chapter discusses the media as a means of socializing. The practical part consists of empirical research using a questionnaire, which took place in two kindergartens in pre-school. Research demonstrates that parents and teaching staff are trying to bring the children of today's world rather by the positive impact of the media, read and tells the children a variety of stories, talking about the commercials. In preschool parents control how much time children spend watching television, DVD or playing games on the computer and stimulate the logical use of these media.
