Annotation | Eurobarometer 2002 is a comparative research about ideas, attitudes and opinions of Czech youth about the EU. Findings of this research are compared to those obtained in the same research in 1998. The research draws on representative sample of young people at the age of 5-24 years. Whereas in 1998 there were 805 respondents interviewed, in 2002 it was 928. The main aim of the research was to find out what are young people’s opinions on living in the EU and to compare obtained data with those from other EU countries. Research results might be also used for a preparation of materials for conception of state social policy towards young people and for a preparation of underlying materials for the EU bodies. Questionnaires focused on what the EU means and what is its social profitability, what is an opinion of today´s young people on the Euro currency and how they concieve European citizenship. Questions also focused on awareness of Czechs about socio-political processes in the EU, their work and travel experience, work expectations and attitudes to minorities. |
