Annotation Bachelors thesis focused on basic art education deals with mening of the importace of basic art schools as educational institutions. The theoretical part explains the characteristics and functioning of basic art schools and clarifies the most frequent concepts related to art education. The article introduces the framework educational programme for basic art education, school educational programme and its content. In the practical part the author focused on qualitative research opinions and attitudes of teachers. By the analysis of focus group interview she tries to find out thein perception of the importace of basic art education.
