Compulsory physical education from the perspective of teacher and pupil

Annotation The objective of this thesis is to analyze the attitude of teachers and students toward to compulsory physical education. The thesis presents the framework “Rámcový vzdělávací program pro základní školy”. The main focus is on the chapter “Člověk a zdraví” and the recommended physical education content standards. The thesis describes the personality characteristics of teachers, didactic management styles as well as motivation. The research was conducted in the form of a questionnaire. It was created for both students and teachers. On the questionnaire survey participated 157 ninth-grade pupils and ten of their teachers. The thesis discovers the relationship between teachers and students in relation to compulsory physical education. The thesis is focused on the content and diversity of lectures as well as on the popularity of various physical activities.
