Annotation	The topic of the thesis is cooperation of children and youth in public life of democratic society specifically it is focused on contribution of their participation in student selfgovernments and student parliament for members of those organizations. The first part is focused on theoretical background and the definition of participation.It also describes the hierarchy of student parliaments in Czech Republic and introduces the idea of National parliament of children and youth to the reader. The second part, with help of series of interviews with current and past members of parliament representatives, their parents and teachers, identifies all the different forms of contribution and benefits that come with participation of children, and which can be also seen as motivation for potential future members of parliaments. The aim of the thesis is introduction of youth participation and making the background for propagation of the parliaments.
