Annotation The dissertation aims to compare the support for school adaptation of children-foreigners in the Czech and Norwegian environments in order to understand the process in both countries and to identify areas that actors consider crucial to the success of this process. The project's ambition is to use the results as inspiration or feedback to politicians, teachers and academics, and to reveal in more detail the practice of one more experienced state in promoting school adaptation of children-foreigners. The main technique of data collection at the micro level are semi-structured interviews with school leaders and teachers. The participating observation and content analysis of school documents are used as complementary techniques.
